F.I.O. announces the 3rd Historic Pelion Rally for 21 and 22 June 2025
The “Friends of Historic Vehicles – F.I.O.” club, based in Volos and a member of the Hellenic Federation of Classic Car Clubs (FILPA), is organising a major event on 21–22 June 2025: a regularity rally for historic vehicles on breathtaking routes around the lowlands and mountains of Pelion, Volos and the wider area.

Classic vehicles from all over Greece are warming up their engines.
F.I.O. is organising this important classic motoring event with the support of the Regional Unit of Magnesia & Sporades, the Magnesia Chamber of Commerce, the Municipality of Volos, the Municipality of South Pelion and “FOOD Service Karakatsanis”. Crews from Greece and abroad have already shown strong interest, and leading clubs from Greece and abroad have in recent years included Magnesia, and Pelion in particular, in their programmes as a magical destination for motor sport.
Strong promotion for Magnesia
As always, the Historic Pelion Rally will put Volos and Magnesia in the spotlight, as millions of classic vehicle fans in Greece and around the world follow such events.
The rally is a first-class opportunity to promote Volos, Pelion, Magnesia and Greece worldwide – their sights, history, culture and local products – with magical routes, stunning scenery and plenty of adrenaline, helping to raise the area’s profile and attract more visitors.
A gem of a club in the classic motoring world
The initiatives of the Volos club F.I.O. aim to help preserve historic vehicles, which trace the evolution of transport technology; to foster a healthy classic motoring scene in Greece; to showcase the “unknown” but beautiful Greece of progress, development and hospitality; and to raise awareness of major issues facing modern society (such as health and prevention, and support for vulnerable groups).
The breathtaking routes of the 2025 Historic Pelion Rally
The rally will take place on 21 & 22 June 2025, centred on the Pelion mountains. It is open not only to classic cars but also to classic motorcycles at least 30 years old, with their own timing and awards.
Day 1 – Saturday 21/6/2025
The start is at 12:00 in Agria, Volos, from the station of the historic Pelion railway. The route follows the coast to Kala Nera and Neochori, then via Argalasti to Milina, where the cars will regroup and the crews will have free time to rest.
They will then drive to Lafkos and Metochi and, again via Argalasti, finish at the junction for the Panagiotiko dam, where they hand in their time cards and are free to enjoy an afternoon swim or a coffee in the nearby seaside villages.
While the crews are at Agria station on Saturday morning, scrutineering of the historic cars and motorcycles will take place from 09:00 to 11:00, giving visitors the chance to admire a piece of motoring history up close.
Day 2 – Sunday 22/6/2025
At 11:00 all the historic vehicles will start the second leg, again from Agria station, heading for the villages of Ano Lechonia, Agios Vlasios, Agios Georgios, Vyzitsa and Milies, and via Neochori finishing at the Costa Kali beach bar in Afissos, where F.I.O. hosts the awards lunch and announces the winners. A beach party with well-known DJ Nikos Levantis follows.
Safety rules
The event is run with the support and supervision, and under the rules, of the Hellenic Federation of Classic Car and Motorcycle Clubs (FILPA).
Crews with historic vehicles (cars and motorcycles) built up to 31/05/1995 are eligible.
