On 14 April 2024 LE.K.A.M. is organising the “April Tour to Nea Fokaia, Chalkidiki”.
The cars will meet in the car park of the Mediterranean Cosmos shopping centre in Pylaia and set off at 10:30 for Nea Fokaia. By arrangement with the local authorities, the cars will park in the central square, where the local cafés will offer us coffee and refreshments.
After coffee we will walk down to the seafront promenade with members of the local community, then up the hill to the Byzantine tower for a guided tour, followed by a visit to the cave and holy spring of Saint Paul. The walk from the square to the tower and the spring is 600–700 metres, gently sloping and accessible to everyone. Anyone who wishes can then have lunch at a local restaurant, ordering freely.
Entry fee: €15 (car insurance and event insurance). Please register by Wednesday 10 April, so there is time to issue the insurance and arrange lunch.
