The Classic Car Club of Macedonia is organising the “24th LAKES RALLY 2025 – LEKAM” on Sunday 11 May 2025 in the wider THESSALONIKI region. It is the second event of the 2025 FILPA calendar in the REGULARITY category.
The beautiful historic vehicles will gather at 10:00 in Thessaloniki’s iconic ARISTOTELOUS Square, where the rally starts, with the first crew leaving at 11:45.
Driving towards Rentina via the LAGKADAS – VOLVI provincial road, the crews will compete by class on the regularity special stages, enjoying stunning views as they pass first the northern shore of Lake Koroneia and then Lake Volvi, the second-largest lake in Greece and a natural wetland for many rare bird species.
The cars will then drive through the cool natural tunnels formed by giant trees in the Macedonian Tempi gorge below Rentina Castle, towards STAVROS, Thessaloniki, and its seafront municipal CAR PARK, where there will be a short regrouping stop and time for lunch by the sea.
At 16:00 they will restart for Thessaloniki, this time via the old Thessaloniki – Kavala national road, for the second leg of special stages.
After this beautiful lakeside route, the historic cars will return to the start, Aristotelous Square, where they will finish in turn.
A static display of the cars will be held there, giving people out for their afternoon stroll the chance to admire the historic vehicles up close and to watch the trophy presentation to the winners.
Finally, participants will head home with lovely memories of the 24th Lakes Rally, making a date for the next LEKAM event.
